The maintenance of Dalian acid resistant pumps during use is directly related to their performance and service life. The following are some maintenance issues that need to be noted:
Daily operation inspection
Temperature inspection: During operation, it is necessary to monitor the bearing temperature and motor temperature of the pump. Generally, the bearing temperature should not exceed 70 ℃, and the motor temperature should not exceed the specified value on the nameplate. If the temperature is too high, it may be due to insufficient lubrication, bearing damage, or excessive load, and it is necessary to stop the machine for inspection in a timely manner.
Pressure inspection: Observe the inlet and outlet pressure of the pump. Abnormal pressure fluctuations or significant deviations from normal operating values may indicate problems such as pipeline blockage, impeller wear, or seal leakage, which should be promptly investigated.
Vibration and noise monitoring: A normally operating acid resistant pump has minimal vibration and stable sound. If abnormal vibration and noise occur, it may be due to the pump shaft not being concentric with the motor shaft, the impeller being unbalanced, the foundation being unstable, or cavitation. The machine should be stopped immediately for inspection to prevent the fault from expanding.
Regular maintenance and upkeep
Cleaning work: Regularly clean the dust, oil stains, and residual corrosive media on the surface of the pump body to prevent them from causing corrosion to the pump body. For pumps that transport acid containing impurities, it is necessary to regularly clean the filter and impeller to prevent impurities from blocking and affecting the performance of the pump.
Lubrication system maintenance: Regularly replace bearing lubricating oil or grease according to the requirements of the equipment manual. Generally speaking, for bearings that use lubricating oil, the lubricating oil should be replaced every 2000-3000 hours of operation; Bearings using lubricating grease should be replenished or replaced with lubricating grease every 1000-1500 hours of operation. At the same time, check the oil quality and level to ensure that the lubrication system is working properly.
Sealing system inspection: Mechanical seals are key components of acid resistant pumps, and the wear and sealing performance of the sealing surface should be regularly checked. If any leakage is found at the seal, the seal should be replaced in a timely manner. Usually, a comprehensive inspection of the mechanical seal is required every 3-6 months of operation.
Impeller and pump casing inspection: Regularly inspect the corrosion and wear of the impeller and pump casing. If obvious corrosion, wear, or cracks are found on the impeller blades, the impeller should be replaced in a timely manner. If there are serious problems such as corrosion and perforation in the pump casing, it also needs to be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
Shutdown maintenance
Drain the liquid in the pump: During short-term shutdown, the acid in the pump should be drained and the pump body and pipes should be rinsed with clean water to prevent corrosion caused by acid residue. When the machine is shut down for a long time, in addition to emptying and flushing, a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the pump should also be carried out. If necessary, anti-corrosion treatment can be applied to easily corroded parts, such as applying anti-corrosion grease.
Protective measures: During the shutdown period, the pump should be well protected to prevent dust and debris from entering the pump body. For acid resistant pumps installed outdoors, they should be covered with waterproof canvas or other coverings to prevent rainwater erosion.
Other precautions
Strict operating procedures: Operators should strictly follow the operating procedures of acid resistant pumps, check whether the inlet and outlet valves of the pump are in the correct position before starting, and strictly prohibit starting with load. When stopping the pump, the outlet valve should be closed first, and then the motor should be stopped.
Backup pump maintenance: For systems with backup pumps, regular maintenance work such as turning and trial operation should also be carried out to ensure that the backup pump is in good standby condition and can be put into use at any time.
Record maintenance information: Establish a comprehensive equipment maintenance file to record the operation time, maintenance content, fault situation, and handling results of acid resistant pumps, in order to timely grasp the operation status of the equipment and provide reference for subsequent maintenance and fault analysis.
