Generally, acid resistant pumps use non-metallic materials as the overcurrent components of the pump, such as "polyethylene, polypropylene, perfluoroethylene propylene, etc." Among them, perfluoroethylene propylene is one of the good acid resistant materials, and PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) can be chosen. PPS has outstanding chemical resistance.

At room temperature, it can withstand sulfuric acid liquid with a concentration of 40%. In addition, PPS material has high strength and is easy to process by injection molding, resulting in a relatively high price. Shielded pumps are widely used in leak free pumps. A shielded pump mainly consists of a pump body, impeller, stator, rotor, front and rear bearings, and thrust disc. The motor and pump are integrated, and a non-magnetic thin-walled material shielding sleeve is used to separate the stator and rotor.

The rotor is supported by front and rear bearings and immersed in the conveying medium. After the stator winding is energized, electromagnetic energy is transmitted through the shielding sleeve to drive the rotor to rotate, thereby driving the impeller to transport the medium. But its maintenance cost is much lower than that of general mechanical seal chemical pumps. Due to the absence of a mechanical seal and bearing box in the leak free pump, the pump shaft is completely enclosed within a shielding sleeve (isolation sleeve), and the sealing is changed to a static seal.

Effectively solved the problems of leakage and lubrication; Secondly, the leak free pump eliminates the coupling and changes the hard connection to a soft connection, effectively solving the problems of vibration and noise; In addition, the number of vulnerable parts in leak free pumps has significantly decreased (only bearings or mouth rings), and the number of accident parts has also relatively decreased (only inner and outer magnetic rotors); The lifespan of leak free pumps is extended.
